The South Adams County Fire Department began as a volunteer department in 1942, and has developed into a combination department with almost 50 career employees and 25 volunteers. SACFD serves approx. 80 square miles of Commerce City and Henderson Colorado, including the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. We have 8 stations; four of them staffed 24/7.
